Building that company was an incredible experience. We worked hard, learned fast, and spent countless long days in the trenches shoulder-to-shoulder.
But it took everything we had.
And once we had kids, we knew something had to change.
We became focused on work-life integration, putting our family first, and building businesses that grow without burning you out.
Today, we help founders scale the right way — with the right people, systems, and leadership — while staying grounded, healthy, and present with the people who matter most.
And through our family fund, we support the next generation and kids at risk.
Josh's Story
I grew up wanting to be an entrepreneur — just like my two grandfathers.
One of them battled cancer, and I dropped out of business school to care for him. He was my mentor and hero.
On his final voyage, we sailed through a storm that nearly took our lives.
A week later, he passed — and I lost my direction, our family home, and any sense of stability.
My twenties were mostly failure.
Debt, false starts, long nights, and a lot of hard lessons.
Everything shifted around age 28.
I changed my circle, got around mentors who were miles ahead of me, made faith a cornerstone of my life, and committed myself to growth.
I read nonstop, learned from real operators, and rebuilt my foundation.
Then I married Loretta — and that changed everything.
We started our first business together the week after our honeymoon.

Josh Davis is a 5x founder, acquirer, and turnaround operator who has built, scaled, and transformed businesses across multiple industries. As Co-Founder and CEO of a logistics company, and under his leadership, the company scaled into one of the fastest-growing in Canada through acquisitions, recruiting high-performance teams, and developing award-winning software. Within just three years of startup, the company was sold to one of the largest transportation companies in North America, backed by private equity.
Over his career, Josh has led more than ten acquisitions and turnarounds, transforming distressed companies into thriving, high-value businesses through a people-first, systems-driven approach. Today, as Chairman & CEO of JL Davis Enterprises, he brings hands-on experience in acquisitions, roll-up strategies, and scaling businesses the right way with the right people, the right systems, and the right culture.
Josh is passionate about leadership and culture, attracting and developing A-players, empowering high-performance teams, and ensuring companies are built to deliver impact without sacrificing what matters most.
He has been recognized nationally for his entrepreneurial achievements, including Business in Vancouver’s Forty under 40 and Canada’s Top 40 under 40. Alongside his wife Loretta, he also created a fund that supports organizations dedicated to helping at-risk children around the world. Loretta Davis is a systems, processes, and technology leader recognized for her ability to transform companies through operational efficiency and innovation. As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, and under her leadership, a tech-enabled logistics company scaled from startup into one of the fastest-growing in Canada, developing award-winning software and expanding rapidly before its sale to one of the largest transportation companies in North America, backed by private equity.
With deep experience in startups, acquisitions, and turnarounds, Loretta specializes in designing and implementing scalable systems, streamlining processes, and leveraging technology to unlock growth. Her creation of award-winning software was recognized with the Innovator of the Year award at the BC CTO Awards, honoring her impact in fueling operational excellence and rapid expansion.
A graduate of the UBC Sauder School of Business with a background in human resources, Loretta combines technological expertise with organizational strategy, helping businesses build the right systems and empowering teams to do their best work. She is passionate about using innovation to create sustainable growth while never losing sight of people, family, and preparing the next generation to thrive.
